Gillow Heath Route

Thames Drive towards the Meg and then to Woodhouse Lane.

Over crossroads onto Marsh Green Road , onto Well Lane , the Mow Lane and the corner of Wedgwood Lane. 

Down Wedgwood Lane, onto Halls Road, Station Road, along Dorset Drive and onto the bypass , Colliers Way. 

Continue to the bottom of Park Lane and continue up hill to roundabout to top of St Davids.

Down St Davids and onto Moorland Drive back to leisure centre.

An out and back route.

From BVLC go onto Thames Drive & turn left toward A527.

At Roundabout head north (right) on A527 toward Congleton. Stay on RHS footpath for ~1.75m until it runs out whereby road has to be crossed to continue on LHS fp through tunnel toward Castle Inn corner.

Run up short hill to junction with Boundary Lane*.

Take a left and continue along Boundary Lane to junction with main road. Turn right toward Mossley traffic lights. Turn right again onto A527 and return to BVLC. 

From BVLC follow path to Moorland Road. Take 1st right onto Lawton Street and

continue to roundabout. Left at R'bout into Kingsfield Road. Continue on Kingsfield

Road for 1/3 mile to crossroads. Straight over cross roads into Shepherd Street passing a

chippy. At the end of Shepherd Street enter an alleyway. Alleyway emerges onto St Johns

road. Left then immediately right into Woodland Street. Continue along Woodland Street

to the junction with Park Lane*. Left into Park Lane and follow until Mini-Roundabout

taking a right into Mill Hayes Road. Continue along Mill-Hayes taking 2nd right into

Orme Road. Continue along Orme Road entering an alleyway emerging onto Denbigh

Close. Follow Denbigh taking 1st R into Harlech Drive. Take 1st Left into Conwy Road

and continue until meeting A527. Turn Left and follow A527 to George Rhodes Garage*.

Cross the road to Brown Lees Road. Continue along Brown Lees Road to junction of

Tower Hill Road. Turn Right following Tower Hill Rd for ~1/4 mile to junction of

Newpool Road. Turn R into Newpool Road and continue downhill toward Knypersley

Cross Roads/Traffic Lights *. At Knype T'lights turn left following A527/Biddulph

Bypass to return to BVLC. Shorter Routes shown in BLUE. Mustering points shown by

*. Extension can be made by crossing straight over T'lights and following Park Lane to

Mini-roundabout - returning to BVLC via St Davids Way/Moorland Road.



From BVLC enter Thames Drive and go left to A527. Turn R on A527 and continue ~2/3

mile to Grange Road. R on Grange Road for 1/3 mile to junction of Fold Lane on left.

Continue along Fold Lane to junction of A527 *. Turn Left on A527 heading for Biddulph Arms Hotel. Turn R at Biddulph Arms onto Halls Road. A the top of Halls Road * turn left and continue for 400 yds on station road then turn R onto Dorset Drive.

Continue on Dorset Drive until Bypass Roundabout. Right onto bypass and continue to

next roundabout*. Continue ahead toward Knype Cross Roads/Traffic lights.

Left at the the lights and continue for 3/4 mile to mini-roundabout*.

Left at roundabout into St-Davids Way & continue until junction of Moorland road.

Right into Moorland Road and back to

BVLC.
